Yeah, having taken a listen to the whispers jarbear sent me, I think the more masculine whispers work better. There aren’t many of the female whispers and they don’t sound as mystical.
I added some whispers to moments in which Rey appears to get an inclination where to go next in the DSII. And one when she first gets the idea to go after the dagger on the destroyers then when she finds it.
That’s good idea to add a whisper when she’s on the Destroyer to grab the dagger. Nice idea.

Here’s some artwork I mocked up, obviously not perfect and still a bit boring, but it’s a start. I tried to match it similarly to the first two edits, with some success. I swapped Rey’s head from some other photo, so that all 3 would have the characters facing forwards, but it aint’t 100% so I made a variant just in case

To better sell this concept consider removing the dagger as a vital McGuffin alltogether. Rey should no longer say that they NEED the dagger. She just hears it calling to her on the ship. Rough idea of how I’d try and cut it (just add Sith chants before she turns): https://streamable.com/7hsm53
EDIT: The only real way the dagger could remain a needed McGuffin with just Sith chants is to have it be visible as Rey searches on the Death Star.

So I’ve talked to a few different people on here about an idea I had for the expansion of the end scene of the crashing Star Destroyers if anyone is interested in helping put it together.
I was thinking a penultimate farewell to the galaxy if this is the end of the main series. Naboo, Geonosis, etc. I thought just taking some clips from the past and editing the falling Star Destroyer in the background would be a better way to end it, try to rival ROTJ. Add in some cheers and the Throne Room Theme from ANH as the background music for all the clips.
I had considered the night scene of Theed from the end of Episode 1. For Geonosis, the cliff scene overlooking the hive when Obi-Wan arrives. Takodana, take the clip in TFA of Maz’s castle with all the flags and Utapau can be from some of the trailers. Either the night scene of the Stormtroopers on the walkers or day scene before the battle begins could work for Kashyyyk. Idk if you would want any TCW planets.
Personally I’d be fine with one planet per trilogy (Bespin, Coruscant, and maybe Kijimi instead of Jakku), but I’d be interesting to see a VFX work done to other worlds like Naboo or Corellia.

Honestly something like that would have been great for the theatrical film but something that big is just out of budget [not that there is one] also feels very out of place, especially when were trying to make this edit look as high quality as possible, It’s really important edits like these blend well and we don’t end up with fake looking battlefront renders. I definitely think it could work and I wanted that scene to last a lot longer than that it did but it doesn’t really fit this edit in my opinion.

New ideas aside, there’s not a great deal left to do! I’ll need to get some things from others as they are completed, but I’m going to go ahead and render out a second workprint.
