Okay, many may argue that this film does not warrant a thread all its own, but I loved the flick despite its cheesiness. So here goes, courtesy of TheDigitalBits...

Now then... a lot of you have been waiting for this title, so here goes. Warner has just announced the DVD release of The Lost Boys: Special Edition for 8/10 (SRP $26.99). I never did buy it. I'm glad. Not that I was holding out for an SE because, in all honesty, I never expected one. I just never bought it for whatever reason. These extras (particularly deleted scenes) sound good. Deleted scenes, alternate endings, and gag reels are about the only extras I really dig on DVDs.

I was turned off by an audio commentary some years back and haven't listened to any since then even though I've been meaning to give some of them a second chance like Ghostbusters because I hear they're so good. I have yet to find the time to do so.

I recommend the Conan The Barbarian commentary. Arnold Schwarzenegger and John Milius are funny in it, they enjoy themselves, and give neat info.

Not even CGI. It's the work ethic involved in creating one of Baker's monster features that makes it all the more impressive.
