I like the idea of removing Leia knowing Rey’s heritage, given that there’s no way she would know unless it’s another one of her weird “Somehow I’ve always known” moments which just raises more questions about why she did absolutely nothing with this information.

I don’t, however, like the idea of cutting “two were made” since it’s not exposition, it’s calling back to Lando’s line and reminding the audience that while the audience knew the Wayfinder was right there, Rey didn’t. Further, I think culling the Dyad lines would hurt the movie quite a bit; if anything, that concept needed to be expanded more on. I don’t think cutting it altogether is the solution, though. The uniqueness of their bond as a Dyad is what leads to Palpatine ditching his plan of converting either of them, and is also what allows Ben to bring Rey back from death. Without that, the force healing becomes even more convoluted and contradictory and raises all kinds of questions about all kinds of previous moments in the saga. Exposition is not always a bad thing, and an aversion to it hurts the final product just as much as an overreliance. This film explains so few things as it is.
