If HC had been killed in an accident, then using stock footage would be acceptable, and it would be the only option. But - the guy is alive and well, he's still young, he still looks the same. WHY THE HELL then, is this leftover from Episode 3 sitting in what is supposed to be a very important scene???

You'll note I didn't ask 'why are we being forced to watch this', because we aren't. There's always the older ones. Heck - there's even DVD quality footage of Sebastian Shaw on the 04 DVD extras. I love that - they made the feature 'Empire of Dreams' using footage from the O-OT and the 97 version, because they obviously weren't done with the new one yet. Consequently, the odd thing snuck through.

It's pretty rotten though - with that documentary, he showed us that they've still got all this stuff. Like that R2 unit that got wiped out of Mos Eisley. Basically, I reckon they threw in all those shots to say 'yes we can still release the O-OT... we just Don't Want To!'

But didn't I hear him say he was probably going to release them anyway, once 'VHS was obsolete'? VHS has been obsolete for a couple of years now hasn't it?
