Oh, so we’re going with the old “TFA is a ripoff of ANH” argument then? That criticism has never made any sense, because almost all of the plot points are completely different.
I don’t remember Luke being abducted by Vader while the Empire raided Mos Eisley, and Obi-Wan didn’t die at the same time as the Rebels were attacking the Death Star. Leia wasn’t a defecting Imperial soldier who wound up meeting Luke on Tatooine, Han didn’t “die” in the first act only to come back later, and R2-D2 wasn’t carrying a map to Yoda.
You get my point yet? The plots of TFA and ANH are almost completely different. Just because they have some similar images that can be taken out of context and juxtaposed next to each other, doesn’t mean one is a ripoff of the other.
