I think a 6-in-1 edit would be possible, especially as you could just use a couple of scenes from the prequels as flashbacks to establish Vader as Luke’s father. You could also find a way to merge the two death stars into a single location. Either way, it would be incredibly difficult to take 12 hours that span a story of 40 years into 2 hours… and even more difficult to integrate the sequel trilogy.
