Finally my two Act lab usb light guns are on their way to their new home in my Tron MAME Cab. What a great time in my life just had to share with you people. Also brings up the question if anyone else here plays with MAME or as made a MAME cabinet.

So lets talk MAME!

I was going to but I ran out of money and the project kind of just sat around after that. I have the controllers built and a computer standing by so I'm sure someday I might get around to finishing it.

That's kick ass on the light guns.

I have an actual stand-up arcade game in my house - Karate Champ. It's always a big hit when I have friends over.

Yeah I rebuilt a stand up tron cabinet. The only real differents is the control panel has a "few" more bells and whisles. Looks great, maybe a will post some picks.

I will have to spend sometime upgrading MAME versions, I think I had b96 on it and right now b99U6 is out. Hard to keep up sometimes.

It is pretty easy now days to update mame, just run ClrMamePro on your set to see what you are missing and what changed. Then run torrentzip on your set so hashes are the same all over the world. Then head over to pleasuredom to get the latest mame torrent file, point that to what you currently have and then the torrent does the upgrading for you.

One game I would REALLY like to have is Discs of Tron.

That, or Atari Driving.

Yeah I thought about having the cabinet boot right to Discs of Tron, but did not want to have too exit out of the game all the time. Well not all the time just some of the time.

anything on the atari 2600 did not resemble anything unless it was a square.

Really I do love the atari 2600, have an emulator for it on the cabinet.

I found an uber sweet USB four player nintendo adaptor. You can hook your old nintendo controllers into it and use them with your emulator. It's great fun. If only I knew where to find that again?

Yeah I have seen that before, I plan on getting usb controler for all the old consoles.
