If you find out about a new movie, post it here.

First on the list: "Beowulf and Grendel", starring Gerard Butler ("Phantom of the Opera") as Beowulf. As an avid fan of the classic poem, I think this could be interesting. Set for release later this year.

Theres also the Beowulf filmed completely in iceland, which will probably never a u.s. release most faithful to the material, also "cringe" beowulf directed by robert zemechis. There's also Gilgamesh, a big budget epic based on the sumerian/mesomatamian epic poem. Speaking of beowulf, still waiting for michael drout to publish his editing of tolkien's translation of the poem. Another movie that supposed to be made star trek 11, and edgar rice burroughs a princess of mars. James Bond Casino Royale, without Pierce Brosnan. Currently in development hell "The Hobbit" not even listed on internet movie database.

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.

I think "Beowulf and Grendel" (the one mentioned above) is the one being filmed in Iceland. I felt sick to my stpmach when I saw that in the Zemeckis film (2007) Grendel will be played by Crispin Glover.Ugh, no no no no no no no no no no nooooooo!!!!

Grendel will be played by Crispin Glover?
I can only pray that they are talking about a motion capture performance, like for Gollum in the Lord of the Rings or Tom Hanks in Polar Express.
If they are talking Crispin Glover in a suit, I don't see how that would work. I don't think an audience will want to see that.

Hopefully, Zemeckis will make this interesting and do justice to the original text rather than have explosions and chase scenes.

I'm looking forward to Spielberg's "Munich," about the hostage crisis at the '72 Olympics.

Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here, this is the war room!

That could be good.

I've heard the movie rights to "The Demolished Man" by Alfred Bester have been purchased. I hope they do it right, and don't "dumb" it down for mainstream audiences. Eager to see it if done correctly.

I believe the entire movie is motion capture, so you don't have to worry about seeing Crispin Glover in a suit. It's even crazier to think that Zemeckis and Glover would ever work together again.

There is no lingerie in space…

C3PX said: Gaffer is like that hot girl in high school that you think you have a chance with even though she is way out of your league because she is sweet and not a stuck up bitch who pretends you don’t exist… then one day you spot her making out with some skinny twerp, only on second glance you realize it is the goth girl who always sits in the back of class; at that moment it dawns on you why she is never seen hanging off the arm of any of the jocks… and you realize, damn, she really is unobtainable after all. Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.
