I’m kind of disappointed in nobody here picking up the Ajan Kloss = Naboo torch. To me, it’d be an excellent way for the series to go “full circle.”
I don’t know, it seems from the supplementary material that the FO is straight up burning down places that have shown to have any ties whatsoever to the resistance and also Leia is changing bases like socks, even more often than the rebellion. Moreover, the bases seem to be almost exclusively on planets without civilised governments. Naboo is the sort of world that they would be found on immediately. Of course, you could ignore that and imply a different power dynamic, where the war is less one-sided
