Because DBB is the clones, imo. Temeura is great, but DBB made the clones who they are.

The difficulty with pitching down Anakin’s voice is that the prequels have a lot of music in the centre channel and pitching the music down makes it sound awful. Perhaps with RTX Voice and Spleeter it would be possible to better separate the two, however. Which scene would work best for a test? Bearing in mind that simply pitching Hayden down won’t change the tone of his voice to be any rougher, so lines like “Don’t lecture me Obi-Wan” would still be… sing-songy.

Dee Bradley Baker and Temura Morrison sound close enough that I can accept them as the same characters. Matt Lanter and Hayden Christensen, on the other hand…

Could anything be done to tighten up the pacing of the slow Coruscant portions of the films? Mainly in RotS. They just drag on and on, but they’re unfortunately pretty crucial.

Could you link to a specific scene you have in mind?

I don’t have any in particular, just that middle section of the third film in general.

I’ve seen a few tests similar to this before. I threw this together really quick:

Dex wouldn’t be in my hypothetical edit, but it’s an idea of playing with the not-so-great CGI characters in this movie. Go retro effects! 😛

Yes, yes, yes!!!

This is something I have immense interest in, the only problem is that you couldn’t mask him in every shot he appears in, since there is too much motion surrounding… 😦

What do you think about opening ROTS with Dooku and Sidious discussing their plan, sth along the likes of: “The time is near for the Sith to rise once more, cleansing the galaxy from the filth of the Jedi”
The interrogation scene from AOTC might work, if Obi Wan could be replaced with a hologram of Sidious.
And then cut to the scene from AOTC with the Jedi and the chancellor discussing the (possibility of a) war and why it’s still lasting on. After this establish both Anakin’s visions involving his fear of losing Padmé and the spying on the chancellor plot. And then when the core of the conflict within Anakin is set, let the separatist attack coruscant and capture the chancellor. (off screen due to a lack of options)

How easily the separatist took the chancellor hostage might also work as the excuse for Windu to arrest Palpatine.

Could someone please help me with recoloring Anakin’s ship during the departing scene in ROTS from green to yellow?

Thanks in advance

Edit: already solved it

Something about Anakin just calling him “Windu” gives me much joy.

I think NFBisms did it first in his New Canon Cut but I don’t know if he borrowed the idea from elsewhere.

I remember watching RotS the first time and being really disappointed that we didn’t hear or see Obi-Wan’s message warning Jedi away from Coruscant.

I was really happy that we finally saw it in Rebels.

I would love to see a montage of Jedi survivors watching the recording and going into hiding afterwards. Probably during the epilogue montage, after Padme’s Funeral/Vader stares at the Death Star, insert shots of Jedi in ships, hiding on battlefields, etc… either hearing the message or watching the holorecording.

I think it adds to the tragedy that in addition to those who died, we get survivors who have to go to ground and leave being a Jedi behind them forever.

Yeah, I was thinking yesterday about how you could squeeze it in to ROTS. It has a certain finality to it, and even ends with “A New Hope shall emerge”, so it sort of feels like it should play all the way up to the end of the ending montage, which is how it’s used in its Rebels episode. You could try to sync the bit about the Empire rising with the shot of the Imperialised Venators and Vader looking at the Death Star, the bit about not returning to the Temple with Yoda landing on Dagobah, and the bit about the New Hope with Luke being delivered to the Lars Homestead. My worry is that would be too on the nose and would unnecessarily distract from the score.

On a similar note: what if you nicked Palpatine’s TROS message from Fortnite and stuck it over Order 66 or something? It’d probably ruin the emotional gravitas of that scene, but surely if anything is “the day of the Sith” which corrects “the great error” after “the work of generations”, it would be the bit in the movie literally called “Revenge of the Sith” in which the secret Sith Lord takes his revenge.

Obi-Wan’s message over the end montage absolutely could work. I just don’t think it’s necessary.

A little radical idea for ROTS:
Push the Grievous plot back and let Cody shoot Obi-Wan during the chase scene so that Grievous survives.
Then cut Palpatine finding Anakin and use the hologram scene with Darth Sidious and Grievous and alternate Grievous line to: “…the loss of Skywalker”

Because Order 66 doesn’t happen before Anakin’s turn and Windu went to make sure that Palpatine returns his emergency powers after Grievous death, let Palpatine declare the empire as a reaction to the separatist attack on coruscant. This would explain Windus move against the chancellor and would also play well into Padmé’s politics plot.
