Is this the series that all the hate channels are posting on about feminism? I don’t click on them to avoid giving them views. They seem to be making a huge deal of it, what’s up with that?

Variety posted an article a couple of weeks back - leaking the news that Leslye Headland had a Star Wars series in the works…

The 2nd paragraph in the article was seemingly enough to send some fans over the edge - especially the ‘emboldened’ part:-

“Details of the exact plot of the series are being kept under wraps, but sources say it will be a female-centric series that takes place in a different part of the “Star Wars” timeline than other projects. Headland is said to be attached to write and serve as showrunner on the series, with the show currently staffing.”

I imagine that, and the showrunner being female, possibly triggered accusations of ‘pandering’, ‘politics’, ‘forced diversity’, ‘feminist’, and the usual click-bait key-words that certain monetised youtube videos seem to love so much.

Pretty much a non-story (other than the need for fresh clicks on the usual baiting channels).
