My understanding was that it was final, and I thought it blended in very nicely. Of course if he decides he wants to do even more with it I can take it and add it.
skenera that yellow lightning looks perfect. How did you do it so quickly?
Thanks, I’ve created a rough matte with the Channel Mixer to select the entire lightning, then I’ve tweaked the opacity locally, this way, I don’t have to mask everything manually.

Idk…I think any significant movement (especially the camera) feels wrong in the final shot of a SW film. But of course TFA said fuck that and ended on a horrendous helicopter shot while TESB doesn’t end on the shot I always remember it ending on.

Thanks for putting it together. I think the weak part of it is dipping into the ‘coming together’ piece for just a couple seconds before shifting over to Yoda lifting the X-Wing. One piece of music too many. If Luke and Leia can segue directly into it then maybe we’ve got something.

Yeah, I agree. I’m not the greatest when it comes to re-scoring, but I too feel the same way. Luke and Leia’s theme is so beautiful. John Williams truly is the greatest film composer of all time.

Ooh, thanks for putting this together! The only thing I’m concerned about is that Rey walking offscreen, followed by the Falcon flying off in the next shot will be too quick a transition. I wonder if it would help to add a shot of Rey in the cockpit or something to bridge the two shots.
Eh, no more quick of a transition than almost any other involving spaceships.

I further tweaked the “just Rey” line, and added a more pronounced “t”.
I also added an updated version of the new end shot I’ve been messing with, which removes Rey and BB-8, instead having the falcon fly off into the binary sunset.
Finally, I tacked on the YouTube clip posted a few pages back that added Ben and Anakin force ghosts. I cropped out Anakin so you could see what the idea would look like. Not crazy about the head nod, but I think the idea of adding Ben will work.
