I have not understood you well !! Can you explain it to me better? to perfect it 😃

In the close up shot of Luke, the background is shaking, but he isn’t.

ahhhh okkk!!!good eye!😉
I am going to correct it

Very clever use of the documentary footage for Luke, worthy of the silverscreen.

I’m really loving it! The sync and the reactions are damn-near perfect.

Have you thought about attempting a Shaw Anakin version?

That’s REALLY good! I know you’re probably getting an annoying number of questions and/or suggestions already, but didn’t one of the pervious versions use a different close-up for Obi-Wan as well? I didn’t recognize that shot, and it almost looked like his face had been altered slightly with CGI. Unless I’m experiencing the Mandella effect and it was always the ESB shot it is here, can you tell me what shot you were using as a reference?

You’ve got to ask yourself one question: “Am I making Carrie Fisher’s ghost proud?”
Well, are ya, punk?

hahaha no !!! quiet!!! any suggestion is welcome!
the shot I used previously was one that I myself composed with the body of ewan macgregor and a photo of alec guinness … but one of the suggestions was that the head was rare, so I replaced the image with that of ESB …

These are the three versions … with which would you choose?
I need the opinion of the users…

What if we hear Jedi’s voices during the final Force lightning scene? I mean, remove them from the “Talk with me” and place them there, in a way to support Rey while she’s fighting Palpatine…
We don’t need to see Force ghosts talking, it would be like a message just for Rey to hear.

I think the third one is the best too, then the second and finally the first. The first one is the only one that comes off as super odd to me. Keep up the amazing work!

Really like what you’re doing here! I’d pick 2, ESB footage looks most natural to me. I’d also love to see a Sebastian Shaw version, though I realize the resources available for that are limited.

Jonh, these are simply amazing. Both 2 & 3 are exceptional and I’d be happy to see either/or (or perhaps one in close up, the other in the wide shot) in your final version. Keep up the good work!

Hmmm I’d vote 1. Number 3 feels more like a still image to me, and we immediately recognize where 2 is from.

I’d rank them 1, 2, 3.

1 is my favourite because it looks like new footage.

🤔🤔🤔 1 version and 3 version fusion?
1 version body+3 version head

I’m surprised you guys like 1 over the others. He seems really hunched over. The proportions for 2 feel like the best, to me. And it feels less like a still image than the others.

I completely agree; the body just looks odd in 1 and very unnatural to me. 2 or 3 are cool with me though.

Been working on something a little new, in case anybody is still interested…

I created a new version of the Tatooine scene at the end, but with only foley and no music.
This can be used for everyone wishing to re-score the scene!

A few things to note though!

  1. In this version she says “I’m Rey” instead of “Rey Skywalker” I think the entire premise of Rey Skywalker ruins the character and ‘just Rey’ works so much better.
  2. I couldn’t isolate the line: “There’s been no one here for so long.” so I cut it, not really necessary.

Edit:

Oops! Thought this was Hal’s thread, meant to put it there! 😃

The bad thing about the second version is that we immediately detect where that footage comes from

You think so? It doesn’t feel obvious to me at all. I mean, his ghost is barely visible as it is.
It might be obvious to us as fan editors, but do you think it would have been obvious to general audiences? Or friends/family members who we might show this fan edit to?
