Personally, I am more in favor of option two. I would love to revisit the main clone war arcs while I am having a SW movie marathon. However, that prospect is somewhat daunting as they episodes are often released out of chronological order and I have to reference a list to remember the primary episodes I want to focus on. Also option one would be more akin to just cherry picking the arcs that interest me and watching them as they currently are in order. Option two is more appeal because it is condensed and feels like a continuation of the films that I can watch between episodes II and III.
