This is one of the funniest movies ever made. I never get sick of watching it.

Maybe I just haven't seen enough of it (A Shot in the Dark, I mean), but I think that...checks IMDB because the exact title escapes me...Pink Panther Strikes Again is the best of the Pink Panther series.

Peter Sellers is definitely one of my all-time favorite actors. Has anyone hear seen "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers" starring Geoffrey Rush? I haven't yet, but I've heard good things.

The "synchronizing watches" scene from that movie is absolutely hilarious.

My two favorite Peter Sellers films are "Dr Strangelove" and "The Party". The one where he's the gardner is good too - forgot the name... "Being there"? Something like that.

Dr. Strangelove is Sellers at his best.

Just picked up The Party on DVD. One of the Sellers movies I HAD to have. A Shot in the Dark is definitely the best Pink Panther film.

Anyone care to comment on the new Pink Panther film with Steve Martin?

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

It's going to fail. Martin aint Sellars. He's not even close.

They would've been closer with Mike Myers, and still would've missed. I won't comment on Roberto Benigni, although I did enjoy Life is Beautiful.

IT'S BRILLANT. IT'S FUNNY THAT YOU SHOULD MENTION IT, BECAUSE I WATCHED IT THE OTHER DAY. MR. RUSH WAS PERFECT AS SELLERS.

Kevin Kline is the only one who could do Sellers justice, but they made him the Dreyfuss character? Whatever the case, this remake is just not worth it. And no Blake Edwards? Heresy squared!

What? They can't be making a NEW Pink Panther movie! Ridiculous.

I'm certainly not going to see it.

I week ago I saw it on the shelf of the store, I picked it up, and put it back, didn't buy it. But now I think I will...

The Party is quite amusing, but it definitely doesn't rise to the greatness of A Shot in the Dark.

Still, you'll be saying "Birdie Num Num? Birrrrrdddddeeeeeeee -- Num Num?" for days on end.

Kevin Kline? If you ask me, no one can do Sellers justice. No one could get any where near close. No One Those that try should be arrested and given long prison sentences.

I agree. And using Henry Mancini's score is also blasphemous. Hopefully it'll one big bomb.

Well, if you're going to do a pink pather movie, you've got to use the Mancini Pink Panther music. Nothing else would come close. That would be like trying to do a Star Wars movie with the John Williams score.

OK, so if Ashton Kutcher and Paris Hilton as Luke and Leia stared in a re-make of A New Hope, featuring a remixed version of the Star Wars theme song by Daft Punk, wouldn't you be a little offended? Same here.

Well, I'd be offended at any attempt at a remake of the original classic Star Wars. If there are going to do it, they should do it right and use the right music(and not use Aston Kutcher or Paris Hilton). Oh, and Ric please don't give Lucas any more ideas. He may just do it!

I agree.

If Lucas decided to do that, my will would include having my corpse fit with a magnetic rod so that my spinning could generate some power.

Everything I do is carefully planned.

This was definitely the best Pink Panther film. I also like "Pink Panther Strikes Back"

That was a priceless Steinway!
Not anymore.

Strange, the line that I would most likely use is:
"Is there anyone hiding there in the dark?"
