A remastered 4K release of Flash Gordon (1980) coming soon (in June/July 2020, apparently)…
‘Flash Gordon is returning to UK cinemas in May’ from FilmStories (back in early March) - obviously the cinema re-release won’t be happening given recent world events. But a 4K remaster release for the 40th anniversary as mentioned in the above article? Bring it on!

Really hoping this new 4K release has both director Mike Hodge’s and Brian Blessed’s respective commentaries from the 25th Anniversary / Silver Edition DVDs. And the new 4K remaster is going to get the love and attention it so deserves (if it is the same guys who did the recent John Carpenter set… then it should be!)
