Star Wars Episode II: The Approaching Storm (Released) — Page 27

Quick question about V6, I see that film grain is no longer listed as a change. Is this on purpose or is it an accidental omission?

User ‘Luke Kenobi’ recently pointed out to me in a PM that the end credits on the DVD version freeze partway through. While not the worst thing in the world, it needed to be fixed. I have just replaced it with a fixed version on all the usual places.
Only the DVD version was affected.

Does anyone know if Octorox ever relased a v5.5 of The Approaching Storm?
I have been been searching for v5 of TAS, or a potential v5.5, to no avail.

I haven’t yet, sorry 😦

I know Hal’s v5’s are on MySpleen but I’m not sure where else.

Hello,

So I been scouring the internet for a long time now trying to find these.

The torrent links seems to be dead.

The googledrive link I found wont let me download because too much traffic.

Where is a stable place to get these? I am really just looking for the tinyencode right now so I can view this work. I would really like to see these edits.

Thank you for any assistance.

See the FAQ on the Google Drive. The quota message is always temporary, and the edits are in higher demand with TROS nearly upon us. I seed the torrents but can only do so from behind my VPN. Please try again later with the Drive.

I’ve been checking the Drive recently to watch the edits before TROS and couldn’t download anything until yesterday. Before that I could only get the TinyEncode versions so I watched episode I and II that way. Very enjoyable edits. I haven’t watched II much so I didn’t miss anything that was cut and could enjoy what was there even if it’s my least favorite episode. I watched episode I a lot when I was younger and have more nostalgia for that one, but I’m glad that all my favorite moments and details were still there in your edit, and it was nice to see some new additions as well. I did miss a “yipee” or two, probably mostly because I was expecting them, though. When Anakin jumped down from Watto’s counter I had to say “yipee” to myself. 😛 Next I’ll be checking out your III and IV, I managed to get the 1080p versions for those. Looking forward to watching them!

Hi Hal,
just rewatched the prequels (last time I watched them I was around 14 y/o) and unfortunately they weren’t as good as I remember them… 😃
I’d love to see what you have done with the movies, so would appreciate you sending over the link!
Thanks.

Just want to say, I love the way you handled the droid factory scene and the transition to Dooku’s meeting. It now feels like an official movie edit, whereas in the previous version it did not. I’m glad you were able to find a compromise you were comfortable with.
