Does anybody here know to what file Windows Media Center files are saved when you record something off Television? I am trying to edit the commercials out.

not sure as i dont use windows media center, but my guess would be it uses a wmv file, and probably saves it to a My Videos folder or something along those lines in your My Documents folder.

If you go into the Options/Preferences/Settings (not sure which its called and where it would be) there is probably an area where you can set the save location/name and you can use that to see the defaults. The name is probably some generic name with a date time in it.
