Decent covers, at least.

Grisan's site is down, couldn't upload any of em. I printed out the original trilogy ones, downloaded Rowman's bonus discs, paired em up with the Editdroid set, and I think that's a pretty good 6 disc set..could even be the standard there, actually. Editdroid + Rowman set.

These covers are so non-descript, though, you can shove anything in em. Edits, re-edits, definitive, faces, anamorphic--no fussing with names and versions. Just slap it in there.

This post seems to be really killing this page... or is it just me? It may have to do with the imagesack links...

.....well.... we are not on that page anymore...

Galatians 2: 20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I just love those Rowman Suplemental covers. Have you got them on torrent yet. I would really love to add those to my ever growing collection.

Thanks

I'm working on a new "Saga Set" of covers. I haven't quite decided what it will contain yet. I've got a few possibilities:
The disc number refers to the number of cases.
9-Disc: Prequels, OT, and 2004 SE (Which will be replaced as newer SEs come out)
12-Disc: Prequels, OT, 97 SE, 2004 SE
10-Disc: Prequels, OT, SE (I would have each movie in a two-disc case with the 97 SE on one side and the 2004 SE on the other), and the four Rowman discs (stashed in a 4-disc case)

Anyhow, here's a concept I whipped up for the spines that I REALLY am fond of:

Knolly,

VERY cool! I love the concept. Maybe you could do the last three discs as some of the more popular making-of discs, the holiday special, deleted magic, things like that. Don't forget about the official Bonus Material DVD.

Or maybe, if you release these as PhotoShop files with different layers, create a number of covers for the last three, with each of them having three spine layers that people can choose.

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

Thanks!
I was thinking of releasing covers and then releasing hi-res blank spines for customization. The only current problem is that I describe the disc's contents on the back.

Here's my proposed saga collection list:

Case 1 - Episode I: The Phantom Menace - Disks 1 and 2
Case 2 - Episode II: Attack of the Clones - Disks 1 and 2
Case 3 - Episode III: Revenge of the Sith - Disks 1 and 2
Case 4 - Episode IV: A New Hope - Original Trilogy Version and Rowman Extras Disk
Case 5 - Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back - Original Trilogy Version and Rowman Extras Disk
Case 6 - Episode VI: Return of the Jedi - Original Trilogy Version and Rowman Extras Disk
Case 7 - Episode IV: A New Hope - 1997 Special Edition and 2004 Special Edition
Case 8 - Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back - 1997 Special Edition and 2004 Special Edition
Case 9 - Episode VI: Return of the Jedi - 1997 Special Edition and 2004 Special Edition
Case 10 - Extras:

The extras can contain...
-2004 SE Bonus Material
-Rowman Definitive Bonus Disc
Holiday Special
-OCPMovie's Deleted Magic
OCPMovie's Return of the Ewok and Other Short Films
OCPMovie's Special Edition Hype

A "-" means I think it's valuable enough to be a necessity. I also had the idea of just having cases 10-12 be four-disc cases and just add discs as more things come out.

With all the possibilites perhaps it would be a good idea to limit it to Episodes I-VI only. No extra stuff. Sure that would be cool but make another set of spines for the extra stuff and OT discs.

My 2 cents

That's the beauty of it though, isn't it? If you won't only 6 cases for the 6 movies, you can use them and the spines would make a perfect image of half of Vader.

As you can see, I really need someone's help to make sexcellent episode numbers and names for the spines. If you can help out, drop me a PM please.

As of now, the back simply lists the same extras that the back of the official disk lists. I think I'll follow the two saber duels theme for the rest of the movies:
Ep II: Yoda VS Dooku on Top, Anakin VS Dooku on Bottom (Was there more than Dooku featured in saber-on-saber combat during that film that I missed? I can't think of any at the moment, but I have a feeling I'm forgetting something...)
Ep III: Anakin VS Obi-Wan on Top, Yoda VS Palpatine on Bottom
Ep IV: Obi-Wan VS Vader on Top, probably just a shot of Luke with a saber on the Bottom
Ep V: Shot of Beginning of ESB Duel on Top, Ending on Bottom
Ep VI: Luke VS Vader on Top, Luke on the desert skiff on the bottom

Here's a link to a zip file containing all six saga covers I posted earlier, with minor mistakes corrected. I suggest taking this to Kinko's and wasting THEIR ink instead of yours

Now, if only this file were uploaded to a site that actually works, that actually allows the download, and that does not run 20 java scripts to redirect to various spyware installers (a site such as savefile.com or rapidshare.de...), it could have been something...

site works fine, and allows the download, and maybe it's just because I'm running mozilla, but I'm getting no popups or spyware installations, either. Maybe you're just not waiting for the countdown clock to hit zero before you download? According to the page 2 people have already successfully downloaded it.

You got some extra webspace you're not doing anything with? Cuz I don't. So there we are

Here's a set that I made a set based off of original poster images... "Hasn't everyone and their mother done that?" you ask? Well, my set uses posters that haven't been used before! On top of that, instead of screencaps of the movies, I decided to use Ralph McQuarrie's concept art on the back cover. However I can't claim that the designs are completely mine; some portions of the covers were based off of the THX, EditDroid, and Fatboy covers. Still, I think they're original (or original enough) and a worthwhile download...

ANH based on the Hildebrandt Style-B Poster:

ESB based on the International Poster:

FULL-SIZE

ROTJ based on the 1985 Rerelease Poster...

FULL-SIZE

I had to compress them to get under the 1MB/image limit at Imageshack, but I'm going to get the original PNGs to Rikter for the Cover Torrent 2.0. Still, please let me know what you think of them!!!

What? You have a problem with Charles Grodin being used as a stand-in for ol' Harry Ford?
For as much as some people claim to hate what Star Wars has become, they sure seem incapable of shutting up about it.
