I like the execution of Ben surviving in this version, but what would happen next?
Different editor here, but the two options could be
-End the movie almost as soon as the kiss happens
-Edit it so kylo is on Tatoonie with Rey as she buries the lightsabers, using footage of him from the desert earlier.

That worked surprisingly well, you could save the scenes with Ben and Rey till after the celebration, making it the the final scene.
Thanks, and yeah, as nice as it is to close on the falcon, it’s Rey and Kylo’s story and they should be highlighted, feels kinds of random to have Poe be the last character you see.
