As far as I can remember, it takes 1000 years for the sarlaac to digest his "food". I do belive Fett has survived, it's just that it didn't matter in the movie, as Fett was not going to appear again.

I did read a book once about Bobas escape. It suggested he killed the creature somehow, using his oh so tricky bounty hunter skills. Can't remember what it was called, I think it was a trilogy but I only read the first one.

There was a comic book series put out about five years ago by Dark Horse called Boba Fett: Enemy of the Empire or some such. In it, Fett is hunting with Dengar and Dengar sees him take off his armor and sees all these burn marks over his body and asks him what's up with it. Fett explains that they are scars from the Sarlacc's stomach acid. He claims to have used his jetpack to induce indigestion or something along those lines. And he was either spit back up or he was able to jetpack his way out. Both seem rather improbable to me.

i dont know... from my point of view its the fact that threepio explained the Pit of Carkoon, the Might sarlacc as something not to be messed with. "digested over a 1000 years" comes to mind.

I have a question. When Boba Fett dies (or doesn't die)... Was his stupid scream in the original version... or just in the Special Edition...
