So now the D+80 project has restored two frames from ESB that were missing from the GOUT sync. It seems the GOUT standard is being challenged as restoration projects use fewer and fewer GOUT-constrained sources.

I don’t know if this would be as easy as it was for the 4K83 project, but I was wondering if ESB was also on the boards for updating thus. I ask because the music editing in ESB is quite different between the pre-SE and post-SE mixes, and this is one area where I wholly prefer the “alterations” (which actually brought the score more in line with John Williams’ original intentions) to the original.

While I like the edits of the Hal 9000 tracks made for the entire trilogy, the one for ESB is sort of essential for me for that reason. I would really like to be able to play that mix with the D+80 version.
