Yes, it sucks. But there’s nothing the consumer can do about it. Sure you pay for it, but the providers own the content and make the rules.

Yes, there is something the consumer can do about it. Take Vudu to arbitration or take them to small claims. I agree, long live physical media. That’s why I have every version of the films released on VHS, DVD and Blu-ray. That’s why I have the Ultra HD box set pre-ordered. But I’m enough of a completist that I also wanted every digital version as well, so I don’t like the 2015 digital version being taken away after I already bought it.

You can’t take them to small claims if they haven’t violated the terms, which they haven’t.

The terms just suck.
