Alternatively, if we’re going with the original movie intro, I used a deleted scene from TLJ to add a few more seconds to it. The shots line up perfectly, even the TIEs. I realize it’s not much, but perhaps we could put some sort of voiceover on it now since it’s a bit longer?

I would say that the transition to the battle was already abrupt. I was thinking that this would help alleviate that to a certain extent since the camera is already focusing on Kylo. Maybe some sound effects could help with the transition.
