“Sheev” doesn’t sound any better or worse to me than any other made up Star Wars name, to be totally honest.
Something about it really bugs me. Not just how silly it is, but the fact that it’s not in any of the films and was added so much later. Just feels fundamentally wrong to me.
I mean, Palpatine has to have some sort of first name, right? Maybe it’s just me, but I wouldn’t like it if they kept calling him “Palpatine,” without even identifying his full name. It’s just a silly made-up name, it isn’t something important like Yoda’s origins.
