I believe that he-who-must-not-be-named was given access to that visual effects fix for his “fan-edit”, so I see no reason as to why Immersion VFX wouldn’t oblige. And it was a version without the lightsabers.
Actually, I’m pretty sure Iv*n used the original version of the Praetorian fight. He tried to make the disappearing knife less noticeable by cutting from the guard pinning Rey to Rey dropping the lightsaber, but it didn’t really work (just like a lot of other things in his edit).
