ADigitalMan, after your posts im even more interested in seeing a Donner cut of Superman II or at least the deleted scenes or some kind of workprint/script. PM or email me some more info on that Ultimate Sacrafice scene. Tempted to watch superman II now (well after work), ill watch it in a different light now, with all that info on the refilmed scenes.

I love the Mankiewicz story, gotta love when some stupid person has no clue what they are talking about and someone that knows whats up points it out. Too bad the letter never got published.

Im actually confused on the plotline of the new movie, because if its supposed to follow II what i read/remember reading about the script for Returns doesnt quite fit in continuity, because Superman got his powers back and returned at the end of 2. Basically i remember reading ***possible spoiler follows*** that it starts off with superman returning after a few year absence or something, unless he supposedly took a break (again) after saving everyone at the end of II which wouldnt make any sense considering he came back because he realized leaving was a mistake.
