Project Luminous has been mentioned for a long while now - since around April of 2019.
Charles Soule, Daniel José Older, Cavan Scott, Justina Ireland and Claudia Gray are the main people involved in the project - so it has potential for some high quality work.
Details finally emerged on the project today, with ‘Project Luminous’ being revealed to be the Star Wars: The High Republic publishing campaign (books and comics). More information can be found below…

Star Wars: The High Republic, which has previously been referred to as “Project Luminous”, will be set in an era when the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order are at their zenith, about 200 years before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
