I think I have it on a hard drive or dvd somewhere. If I can find it I’ll send it to you

Hello, although I have uploaded many things in the past, my Mega account was taken down recently. If you are looking for something I’ve previously said I uploaded, I may not have it anymore or know where it is. I’m sorry

From what I’ve read the opening crawl is slightly different and read by a narrator. Plus nudity, violence and language is reduced.

I don’t know if this will help you but after some (really) quick research, I was able to find out the following info for Blade Runner:

-US Pay Cable premiere: September 1983
-US Network premiere: February 6, 1986 on CBS

Then after that, all syndicated airings. Here are just a few:

December 23, 1988 - KCBS - Los Angeles - Late night broadcast
December 23, 1988 - WINK - Fort Myers - Late night broadcast
December 23, 1988 - WTVX - Fort Pierce - Late night broadcast
December 23, 1988 - WKTV - Sacramento - Late night broadcast
November 21, 1989 - WPIX - New York
November 20, 1989 - WLVI - Boston
November 22, 1989 - WTXX - Hartford
February 15, 1990 - WGN - Chicago
February 10, 1991 - WLVI - Boston
February 6, 1992 - WGN - Chicago
July 28, 1993 - Channel 9 - Melbourne

I personally would love any of these broadcasts WOC.

😮 😒

why would someone watch a cut version?

Historical purposes?? Sometimes edited for TV versions feature footage not seen in the normal cut even if it is tone down specific content for television broadcasting. The recent RoboCop BD by Arrow includes the Directors, Theatrical, and TV cuts. Why the latter?? Who knows but it’s interesting to watch next to the other ‘official’ versions.

I’ve seen edited for TV versions include deleted scenes for timing. Jaws has aired with some additional scenes. A couple years ago I even combined the DVD of The Little Rascals with a TV airing I captured since the TV airing featured deleted scenes not available on video.

As for the Blade Runner TV version I can’t comment on it since I haven’t seen it which is likely the reason the original poster is seeking it out as well.

Pretty much, Blade Runner is one of my all time favorites and notoriously has multiple versions of the film. After seeing it and it’s various versions many times over, I’m always looking for alternate cuts. It’s pretty much out of pure curiosity!

Just recently learned about this version. I’m also on the hunt for it.

The Salkind Superman movies were significantly expanded for TV broadcast, for example.

"Right now the coffees are doing their final work." (Airi, Masked Rider Den-o episode 1)

I’ve skimmed through the TV cut and a noticed these so far…
-Different prologue text now with narration
-Roy killing Tyrell has been edited. The shots of Roy kissing Tyrell have been cut out and so has the thumbs over the eyes shot.

Also the narration where Deckard says “he’s the guy in old movies who would call black guys [n-word]s” is completely cut out. I think the movie’s color timing is slightly different too
