I just don’t get how him checking the cloak doesn’t make sense in the context of the series if it apparently does in the context of a standalone. Just asking for elaboration.
Because they had pyrotechnics for the actual Strike on the cloak dummy (it was meant to have flames) Vader stomping on the cloak would presumably been to put the flames out although what is shown is not a cloak on fire or any smoke even.
Probably they used a shot of a test of Vader putting out the flames with his foot rather than him actually putting out the flames with his foot.

Nobody could be bothered to drill a hole in the floor and feed a pipe with smoke coming out from the cloak. Hindsight is a beutiful thing but Obi-wan death was not always planned so nobody thought about it until it was already shooting. Too late.
Anakins Body should disapear problem is he was demasked when he died. You could look at Vader having his machine body left behind and his human parts disappearing I suppose… His head vanishing when he dies might look incredibly stupid while luke looks on. So a good call to not do that works ok I think. His head dissapearing might work on a gentle fade if done right would need music.
