As for Strangelove, it and Full Metal Jacket are the only Kubrick films I really enjoyed. My late grandmother laughed her head off while we watched it. She enjoyed it more than the rest of us.
I have yet to have enjoyed a Kubrick film. His stuff just doesn't do it for me, I guess. I've seen Spartacus, Full Metal Jacket, and 2001, and I walked away from them with a WTF feeling. I want to try Strangelove, but it's going to take a lot of my nerve to do so, after having watched some of Kubrick's other films.
