I just got through with this and I really enjoyed it. A project with this many balls to juggle must have been a pain, and it mostly all works. As mentioned by the editor, Gendry is just back at Dragonstone and its also a shame about Varis and Little Finger being sidelined. I guess since there is zero footage worth using for them, it’s a compromise that has to be made. I need to rewatch to make more concrete notes but off the top of my head here’s some thoughts.

The short episodes in the middle seem odd for GOT. Half an hour is just too short. The beginning and end credits account for 10% of the episode. Could some of these episodes be combined to make 60 or 90 minute episodes?

There’s a couple of scenes that go to the next scene with the same people in a different location. I’d have to note them down next watch to be specific. I’m not sure if scenes could be shuffled to give characters time to move location.

The volume of the new Bran VO needs to be checked. I found it difficult to hear what he’s saying for a lot of it. I cant really comment on the impersonation for this reason.

All the new added effects are pretty seamless. I was surprised how well the vision from Bran to Jon worked, and Cersie’s demise was very satisfying. All the extra dead in the last episode worked for me.

The added dialogue for Jon is a good fix. With what you have to work with very well done. The audio levels are better here. Could a better Jon impersonator be found? Maybe reach out to someone on YouTube? I know there a few people who do a bloody good Jon. Whoever did this work did a fine job but it’s in the territory of the voice double for Hackman in Superman 2. It’s good but you can tell its not him.

Lastly, there’s a flash frame in the last episode when Theon looks at the Night King.
