Are there any preservations of The Evil Dead theatrical cut in HD? I know there were some digital alterations made to the film in the DVD and Blu-ray releases, and I’ve seen that there are some DVD quality preservations on here, but nothing in HD that I’ve seen.

From what I’ve gathered the english dubbing’s don’t sync with the HD sources found on japanese set.

That can be fixed in a fan preservation.

Saw that the Extended TV Version of Red Eye was listed on the first page, does anyone know if this was definitely the version on Amazon prime? According to the running time the one on Amazon UK is the regular version. Been looking for the extended version for a long time.

The entire “Trumptonshire” Trilogy had their original film negatives re-scanned and restored in HD in 2011 but only “Camberwick Green” got a Blu Ray release in 2011. “Trumpton” and “Chigley” never got released in HD and “Camberwick Green” BD sells for quite a high price these days.

I never saw much of these shows but they’re considered classics and ought to be preserved and available in the best possible way.

So actually what ended up bringing me to this site in the first place was trying to find Trekkies. It seems it’s been digitally disappeared from all rental and streaming services. I didn’t check some of the newer ones, but I thought it was odd that I couldn’t even rent or buy it on Amazon, iTunes, Vudu, or Playstation. Maybe it’s about to be rereleased in HD?

Anyway, I ended up watching The People vs. George Lucas instead in which someone who founded this site was interviewed.

But anyone know what’s going on with Trekkies? I’d love to see it again, I thought it was a great documentary. And I want to show my girlfriend before we watch Trekkies 2 which is still widely available.

I have a fan version of the original Gone in 60 Seconds which syncs the HD video to the original audio (Presumably from VHS? I don’t think it was ever released on laserdisc?) that I found on the Internet Archive and YouTube, but I’m hunting for a version that’s 24p. Not a huge deal, just wondered.

Apparently Pink Floyd: The Wall is caught in the crossfire of the battle between Gilmore and Waters.

I have True Lies in Vudu, but I’m terrified they’ll take it down, it’s not 24p, and the audio isn’t lossless.

What’s going on? I think The Wall should get a Criterion release, it would deserve it. But it’s annoying that I can’t even get a simple blu-ray release.

Got me. Apparently they’ve even done the mix.

If anyone knows about a 24p restoration of the original Gone In 60 Seconds with the original audio, let me know. The version I have is 60p. Not the end of the world or anything, just curious.

If someone wanted to find the extended TV cut version of Superman II, where would one look?

You mean the the Salkind tv cut of Superman II, That isn’t as far as i know in HD. I’d love to be told otherwise, but Warner Archive did The Extended tv cut for Superman and the international cut of Supergirl. They never did Superman II, III or IV.

I’d be fine with it in SD for now.

Did any of the George Reeves Superman get released in HD? I though at least superman and the molemen was, but looking for a bluray online turned up nothing so is my mind playing tricks on me?
