What? It’s a practical effect, he is on set?
I mean as in more realistic-looking, as if he is an actual creature and not a puppet. There’s nothing inherently wrong with practical effects, but sometimes they do look a little man-made rather than realistic, in terms of movements and surface (e.g. Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back).
The unfortunate reality of the Star Wars prequel and Disney trilogies is that they will always be around. Forever. They will never go away. It can never be undone.

I like the atmosphere effect and color fix on the Deathstar. But forround is still brown and lacks contrast. Jedi is full of these compositing problems. It’s a shame they never recomposited the effects digitally…
On my end, after many tries, I think I’m able to edit the rebel briefing without Luke’s late arrival. And also place him a bit higher up on the Resistance hierarchy.

I suggest you color-correct your Blu-ray source to remove the magenta and purple-violet tones, or if you feel unmotivated, probably use the Disney+ versions.

About the crawl I don’t understand “With the support of his allies”. Luke is supported by his friends.

That’s pretty interesting, even though I never disliked that scene the way it is originally shown.
I kinda like the fact that Luke is not a part of the high command, but that he comes and goes whenever he wants. It shows him as a different Jedi from the PT Order.
About the crawl… yeah, it doesn’t sound right. I agree. I wrote “allies” only because the word “friend” was alreay associated to Han. But I’ll change it.

My problem with the reunion scene is that we get the hierarchy like this: Lando > Solo > Leia > Luke
OK, it’s like that from an operational POV (Achbar and Madine sort of explain it).
But it should be Leia & Luke > Solo > Lando.
Leia is the leader, but Luke is the only one capable of fighting Vader, so they are at the same level. Lando comes last just because he joined latter.
So having them enter the scene by this order makes more sense to me.
Another problem is that Han looks out of character by not having his shuttle crew ready. Luke can still come in and take the somebody else’s place.
And why does Han thank Luke for the rescue again ? Makes no sense since they had that conversation when leaving Tatooine. (if you count the deleted sandstorm scene, they have the same conversation 3 times 😉 )

I love that have ‘de-blued’ the colour, and the force field on the Rebel hangar is a great touch! It feels like the real Original Trilogy 😃

Really like your color edits! Also some of the other things like engine glow and such. I would soften out the green glow from the globe in the meeting scene but other than that its looking great! Can’t wait to see this
