The introduction should be rearranged to flow better, and the comedy (and cringe scenes) should be cut. Acts 2, 3, and 4 out of four should be greatly truncated, time skips are acceptable. The second half of the movie should be devoted to all of Luke on the island, and a greatly truncated half of the Last Jedi, ending before Krait.

Episode 8: The Last Jedi: Begin with Krait, and end 1 hour through the Rise of Skywalker.

Episode 9: The First Skywalker

Finish out RoS, end with a scene showing Rey going back and time to be Shmi Skywalker. Cut from “there was no father” to the part where Kylo Ren is force healing Rey, with his hand on her stomach. It won’t be a good ending, but it will be an ending, and it will tie together the whole saga (not so) nicely (which is better than not at all). Maybe somehow have a real Sky-walking scene or something, this could have been Kathleen Kennedy’s idea for the ending. I dunno, who cares. Who cares is better than “I don’t care.”

Even with lots of cuts, this would make TFA way too long, and TROS not long enough. This time travel plot would be so cheesy.

I love RogueLeader’s idea’s for Finn’s story, but for the TLJ scene, only the elevater scene should be used, not the walking scene leading up to it.

Mix Sith Fleet firing with StarKiller base firing

Use Luke’s force projection as a real fight between them after Luke’s temple is destroyed

Have two attacks on StarKiller (day attack using the Crait footage, night using Exegol footage)

Storyline revolves around finding Luke and fighting the Emperor + the super weapon.

No Snooke, the heroes just fight Kilo and the Emperor.

This is what comes to mind thinking about the strongest sequences in the ST.

This is a cool idea, but even with saying the different battles are day and night, I think you would need added VFX to help sell the idea that Starkiller and Exegol are the same. You would have to change the environment for the Luke vs. Kylo fight, and change Kylo’s appearance. I don’t like that Luke wound’t really be doing anything to help in the present day, so all that time they spend looking for him is wasted even more than it is in the actual movies. Once Rey finds luke, if he doesn’t fight Kylo on Crait, it doesn’t lead anywhwhere. If it’s just one movie I wouldn’t want it longer than 3.5 hours, and that’s pushing it. To do that, you would have to cut out a lot of important stuff.

I agree that Jakku should have been Tatooine, and I would love this change, if it could be done. Realisticy though, the only thing you could do would be add “Tatooine” text at the bottom of the screen. It’s impossible, because, like NeverarGreat said, you would have to cut every time someone mentions Jakku: In TFA: Rey, Kylo, Hux, Poe, Finn, Han, In TLJ: Rey and Luke. It wouldn’t work if no one actually says “Tatooine”.
