All this will be cleared in my latest book, "R2 on my cockpit".
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

In The Empire Strikes Back C-3PO needs his whole body to talk. In Attack of the Clones he can talk as just a head

Han said it made the Kesel run in less then 12 parsecs. A parsec is a measure of distance not time so this statement doesn't make sense. Its like saying I ran a 3 mile walk in just 3 miles.

the Kessel Run statement made sense... let me explain.

its like saying he made the New York Miami run in only 1,200 miles - by car that is for this example - instead of the usual 1,400 miles. do you understand that?

Don't know if this has been covered yet. At the end of RotJ, when Anakin appears, he is wearing brown robes. His action figure, all pictures I've seen and everything else shows him in brown robes. So far in all the prequels, (what I've seen of EpIII) He wears black. Do you think George actually watched the original trilogy and made notes when writing the new ones?

jedi dont wear black, so it symbolizes that he is "once again a jedi"

This still doesn't make any sense. How can a different car make the distance to Miami any shorter? It is what it is.
Is this particular car able to drive a straighter line to Miami than others?

I guess this finally explains Han's line from the original script, "She may not look like much, but she's got great alignment, kid."

ok, let me go on a rant and try and follow me...

the Spice Mines of Kessel are located in something called the Maw Cluster. it is a cluster made up of several black holes. as we all know, black holes have an extremely great gravity pull. there is something around black holes calles The Schwarzschild Radius, also known as The Event Horizon. this EV is the limit from which light can escape. beyond the EV even light cannot escape. the futher you are away from a black hole, the lesser the gravity pull, meaning that you can travel at slower speeds to escape its gravity pull; but the closer you get to a black hole, the faster must you travel.

now, the closer you are to one of those black holes in the Maw Cluster, the shorter the distance to the Kessel, meaning you dont need to take de-tours. and you we know from what ive written above that the closer you get to one of those black holes, the faster you travel. this concludes that if the Millenium Falcon can do the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs, it means that it needs a shorter route through the Maw Cluster to get to Kessel, ie the MF travels very fast.

make any sense?

yeah kinda. but, you know, as long as you explain sth with tech words and scientific jargon most people will say they understand so as o not appear like stupid dorks. even if what has been explained is total bullshitt
so errmmm, I think that GL didn't consider that but only thought that parsec would sound cool. he couldn't image that SW would develop in such a phenomenon and that gee...eerrmmm...'fans' would go and question every word used in the story. personally I don't care if it really makes sense. if you're ready to accept that there are jedis, wookies, lightsabers, laser pistols, hyperspeed ships etc to do the kessel run in 12 parsecs shouldn't bother one much. and maybe in the SW universe parsec means sth completely different...
