I'd appreciate it if you could upload that hi-res poster one day, and any others you might have. I'm currently scouting for the highest resolution star wars materials for Rikter's next cover torrent so that everybody who downloads it has the highest quality images to use for covers and the like.

EDIT: The spelling errors on the cover have been corrected, AGAIN.

Here's an updated cover. I blended both versions of the Style D poster, with special attention to correcting the oversaturated colors on Luke and Leia.

Here's a little comparison between my original attempt (left) and this new version (right).

Thaaaaaaaat's better. I'll accept that as an official cover for $100, Alex.

Good stuff. The closer to the real Style D, the better.

I noticed a small typo on the cover. In the credits, it says "Written and Driected by George Lucas."

How embarrassing. Thanks for pointing that out. It's been corrected now.

I am only too happy to please the master. Glad you like it.

Now you need to make the cover look like this:

Does anyone know what the proper Photoshop settings would be for something like this?

Rock on!

That would be ok with me.

Ummmm... check your spelling of the word "commentary." And then pat yourself on the back for making a nice cover.
Author

Nice cover but there's another spelling error - it's Alec Guinness not Guiness.
Greedo shoots first? Not in my DVD player.

OK. More typos. They've been corrected now. Please re-download if you care.

The changes I made are:
Commenmtary -> Commentary
Alec Guiness -> Alec Guinness
Irvin Kerschner -> Irvin Kershner (HA! I caught this one myself!)

Hopefully that's it, but let me know if you see any more.

Am I the only one who wishes PhotoShop had a spellchecker?

Is it just me or is that a really unfortunate angle with the two blue 'balls' and the long pink sabre...looks like it is part of Luke.

OCP,
Will this be making its way to the usual Bittorrent site?

ocpmovie has requested that all his discs be torrented, but so far I don't think anyone has offered.

Ooh, a laserdisc. The Cheat's playin' something on a laserdisc.
Everything is better on a laserdisc. Whatever happened to the laserdisc? Laserdisc!

I just got the Classic Edition from a.b.starwars (thanks segaflip) and I must say that this is one awesome presentation. This is probably the definitive fan preservation version of Star Wars. After seeing the job you've done with Star Wars, and I'm sure this has already been asked, are you planning anything like this for ESB or ROTJ? In any case, amazing job and now I have to go find Deleted Magic (although I think segaflip has me covered there)!

Three cheers for ocpmovie!

If someone will seed, I'll help once I have it. I'm sure that judging from the quality of his other work we will all want to get out grubby little hands on this! ;-)

Thanks 88keyz! I may tackle Empire at some point, who knows. Right now I've just finished an epic compilation of Bonzo Dog Band video material (friends of Monty Python and the Beatles), a huge project on par with Deleted Magic. And I'm working on my own films.

As always, those who need copies can get them from me.

A couple things:

1. The menus don't work quite as the Official releases work (but I'm glad you used them because they are well done)

2. As mentioned before, the picture is a little blocky around the edges with motion. It's a shame but still a great release.

I very much enjoyed the commentary track on this release. Many of the interviews I hadn't heard before.

The picture quality however reminded me too much of mverta's second "crunched" shot of downtown L.A.
(in the Editorials section at starwarslegacy.com) but I suppose that's inherent in the 2004 DVD source and no fault of ocpmovie.

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…
