“When Kylo and then Rey get flashes of scenes from TFA when they touch the Vader mask, Kylo should get flashes of Luke from Crait rather than Ach-To.”
When I saw the last Jedi, I thought it was just awful (and just downright unbelievable) that Luke has a moment of weakness and seeks to kill Ben out of fear.
If Luke learned anything from his duel on Bespin, it was Yoda’s warning after losing that hand!
“DONT fly off on a tear because you have a force vision!”
Given the footage in TROS I wondered if it would be possible to insinuate that Luke, Han, and Leia actually hid the fact that Vader was Ben’s grandfather, and this secret being revealed to Ben is what ultimately turns him into Kylo.
Ghosts in the closet have a way of coming back to haunt? Its like a parallel of “the dead speak.”
(as Anakin’s saber called to Rey,) Vader’s mask called to Kylo? To me, this would help both TLJ and TROS.
Since Vader was basically the face of Evil, brute force, and intimidation in the old Empire, our heroes could be forgiven for not telling Ben. This could also retroactively show Rey not to trust what she saw in the dark side hole on Ach to.
