There are five vintage figures that I am looking for... Luke in Stormtrooper Disguise, Han in Carbonite, Yak Face, Blue Snaggletooth, and A Wing Pilot (he's the green one, right?)

Not actively looking, though. I'm sure I could've completed my collection via eBay by now if I was really concerned with it all.

Dang, I had all of those when I was a kid.

I could have had the blue Snaggletooth when I was young. However, with regard to the other four, I had gotten into G.I. Joe by then so I never bought them. I never bought most of the POTF run of figures. What I have gotten of them are ones that I bought when I started "collecting" in the mid 90s. Bought all but those four.

LOL- I switched to Joe just about the same time Bossk. What kind of condition are you looking for them in though?

I dunno. Never really thought about it too much. No need for carded I suppose. A little wear isn't too terrible. Just not the free swivel arms that some of my really old figures wound up with.

I'm not talking about the POTF ones, I had the original ones.

I am not alone anymore! Sweet!

Right now, I am only collecting DVDs. After I make this Ewoks transfer (1-2 months), I'll start putting my little cash toward action figures. Although, I do have the voice changer. That thing kicks ass.
Rock. Nirvana. Awsomeness.

POTF are the original ones. There were the Star Wars figures that came out from 1977-1980, Empire Strikes Back run from 1980-1983, Return of the Jedi from 1983-1984, and Power of the Force from 1985-1986. That was the end of it all. The reason why they were called POTF was because the figures in the series ran the gamut from all three movies. Most of the POTF figures were packaged with a special edition coin on the card.

And the era you were probably thinking of would be classified as POTF2, in the mid-90's.

I'm also sort of collecting SW action figures. Actually, I've got my first figure, a Biker Scout, sometime in 1983 or '84. At that time it was extremely hard to acquire such toys in my home, we practically had to fall back on bootleg figures. I still have a Hungarian bootleg Darth Vader and a (now) robe-less Yode (which is a pretty funny one due to having a pig's nose).

It is still hard stuff to collect SW action figures in Europe since only a very small fragment of figures released come to Europe (I will never understand Hasbro's policy, it seems actually ridiculous). However, you would probably be surprised if you saw those rare, hard-to-find pieces you can sometimes encounter, despite all the difficulties, in e.g. Hungary here and there.

Do you keep the figures in there boxes, sealed or open them? I always open them cos I consider them toys, consequently created to be played with. And I do it also because of my son, who would find absolutely illogical to keep them sealed.

I SWITCHED AROUND THAT TIME AS WELL. HOWEVER, I HAVE ALL OF THOSE FIGURES EXCEPT THE LUKE IN STORMTROOPER DISGUISE.

I recently sold my Luke in Stormtrooper disguise on ebay. It was just the figure though - no gun, no helmet. Went for £20, which is about $35.
