Regarding poppa’s post about Rey Palpatine:

Honestly, I do think for fan edits that keep that there are some things you could maybe build off of for fan edits. But regarding to the production of these films, I think any connection Rey might have to Palpatine in previous films is purely coincidental. I think JJ set up the mystery box of Rey well in TFA, and if they had gone with Rey Skywalker or Rey Kenobi it would seem as equally as valid.

I believe Rey Palpatine was a decision made in reshoots. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s what I think.
