Had never heard (or even heard of) Twiki’s early season 2 voice until tonight.
I think it just ruined my life.
& I’m not even a big Buck Rodgers fan.How bad is it?
It’s a super-sweet, super-cartoony little boy voice.
I tried to find an example, but surprisingly nothings coming up.
Apparently the legendary voice actor Mel Blanc was replaced by a Bob Elyea. Fans hated it and they quickly changed it back mid-season.OK I can see that feeling out of place for Twiki (even if I barely know anything about the series.)
I’m also mostly unfamiliar with the series. I only know this one trivia bit because it was so audibly offensive.
Buck Rodgers plays during Super Sci-Fi Saturday Night! which is a block of TV I usually have muted while mixing music or whatever I’m doing. The shows they air are wonderful background visuals. Highly recommended. Anyways, the sound was on a week or so ago & I was attacked by this.
Also, it didn’t even do the iconic “Bi-di-bi-di-bi”. That and the low, gruff voice of Twiki is what the dumb series is known for! How did they not see that!?
