DominicCobb, that makes sense to me. I assumed, especially when Poe said something like “you mean when Poe’s not around?”, that they were setting up a love triangle. When Rey and Poe met at the end of TLJ there seemed like there might have been a mutual attraction, or at least leaving that as a possibility.

One thing that was nice about TROS was having our three main characters (and Ren at times) together for such a long stretch. It’s something the first two films lacked, I think.
