Okay maybe I’m way off, but I’m prepared to guess as to a deleted scene that exists regarding the resolution of what Finn was going to tell Rey. Basically, Poe seems to be more miffed about it than anyone, and it kind of goes with this idea that they’re not really working together. So I think either right before or after Poe tells Finn he needs him in command with him, there’s a scene that sort of mirrors Han and Leia’s last scene in ROTJ (because how could they resist), where Poe guesses that Finn loves Rey, and he clarifies no, they just both have the force. At least, that’s what I’m guessing/hoping.
