I used to get into debates online about things, but there is just no point. I’ve had multiple experiences where I have given someone verifiable scientific information from multiple reliable sources regarding an objective subject, but people will just reject what they don’t want to be true no matter what, and will believe whatever they want despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Orwell was right, objective truth is dead. So debating something subjective like a movie makes even less sense. I pop into online threads and take in whatever joy I can find when i encounter it, and skip over the hate. I love The Rise of Skywalker. I had one of my very best experiences going to the marathon.
