Hey klok-

Yes, I'll be mailing your disc this Weds. Sorry it didn't go out with the first batch! My bad.

buddy, when Xnews loads the headers for messages in big groups, like a.b.dvd, it can burn a bit of memory. There are several filters available that cut down on this- right click over the group name, select 'open special', click the 'filter' button and then you can load in different ways (last X amount of days, only from poster X, file name contains, etc)

No worries. I look forward to the disc, just glad I'm getting a free copy. Will the cover be included? I don't mean a printed version in an amaray DVD case - but rather a jpeg file on the DVD in a DVD-ROM folder or the like.

Just a file??? NO- You get the entire six disc set all with the bells and whistles: the 10 lithographs, the autographed script, the solid gold poster reproduction, the.....

wait- what were we talking about again?

Well, when you put it like that...

alt.binaries.dvd

There are few parts that still need to be uploaded, but I needed my laptop at work today (imagine that!). The final ones should resume shortly.

Can you help me out a little here please? When I go to Google Groups and type in alt.binaries.dvd, the only option it gives me is "anime.requests".

Where am I going wrong?

I use the Forte Agent 2.0 software and my ISP provide free access. As a backup and for the more obscure groups, I have a $25/65Gb account with Astraweb.


A lot of people round here have used the above links and are now regular users of the newsgroups.

As a note, for my obscure stuff I use a $15 per month/unlimited download Newshosting account. http://www.newshosting.com/ When I upload I just do it through my 'freebie' ISP account as the Newshosting one I have doesn't allow posting. I find it a very good deal!

Most people at the Planet forums are your run of the mill 30-year-old-virgins-living-in-their-parents-basement. Not quite as bad as MF.com, but almost. Anyway, some excited fan posted a link to the review BoF gave greencapt's Batman & Robin edit. Within three posts it was shot down because, and I quote "This is not official, so it doesn't matter in the end."

Opinions like that make me want to kick someone's ass.

greencapt, you should have used a program that posts in yenc it cuts down on the size of the articles that you post to news groups. Smaller size makes the news groups faster to load and what not.
But still thanks for uploading it to a.b.dvd

OK gang- I'm combing through my PMs to make sure I know who all I'm sending discs to. If you haven't heard from me yet I apologize in advance.
