And I think a lot of younger people who grew up on the Special Editions, the prequels and the Clone Wars basically worship George Lucas, so I’ve seen a lot more people defend ha choices nowadays. Plus, the Special Editions are their Star Wars. I think this is what George was hoping for.
Eh, I don’t think anyone worships George Lucas. I just think a lot of people don’t care if it has changes or not. But, I grew up on the prequels and both Clone Wars series, (I think I might’ve first watched Genndy’s Clone Wars right before ROTS came out, though, and I only saw the first season or so of the CGI Clone Wars when it came out,) but I still prefer the OOT. I actually just got the GOUT in the mail yesterday, lol, and I have the Despecialized trilogy, 4K77 in 4K and 1080p both regraded and non-regraded, (1080p regraded’s torrent’s currently stuck, though, and unfortunately my laptop isn’t 4K,) the Silver Screen Edition of SW, the 1978 Porn Shop bootleg of SW, the regraded grindhouse of TESB, and a copy of 4K83, along with an edit of SW I made for myself personally that’s basically just scenes from Despecialized pasted onto the SSE whenever I thought DeEd had better color grading, plus 4K77’s crawl. So, you can say I very much support the originals. Maybe it’s because I’ve been conditioned by the fandom to think that way, I dunno, but, still.
