This altered Greedo scene, once again, makes no sense.

  • First, of all, if Mr. Lucas really wanted to make it clear the Han was shooting in self defense (which it already was clear), why not, instead of altering the shot of the guns ablazin’, why not add the sound of Greedos blaster “powering up” as he says “I’ve been looking forward to this…”? Even add a slight movement to Greedo’s hand and blaster just to make it perfectly clear?

  • Why are they adding a new explosion which just makes the next cut more jarring? The screen fills up almost entirely with a white-ish smoke - cut to next shot - almost all of the smoke is gone. Agree with above post: is Greedo filled with C-4? Why not fix the entire thing by going the Adywan route: use frame of non-dummy Greedo and add blaster fire with a BIT of smoke? Boom. Done.

  • Why the extra Greedo dialogue?! It’s not even subtitled! What is he supposed to be saying to Han? How does this enhance the scene? AAAND we all know it’s obviously the PREVIOUS shot just zoomed in-…plus, the removal of the dude walking by on the right. They didn’t even remove the bit of light that is visible to the immediate right of Greedos face that disappears as the dude passes by in front of a light.
