Viz’s release of Sailor Moon was atrocious; even when they changed their methods for season three, it still didn’t look right. Funi’s DBZ blu-rays were better but that’s more thanks to the different art style; the characters definitely have the crawling outline problem. I saw the first episode of Toei’s HD upscale of Sailor Moon on broadcast but there’s nothing really to say about it.

I don’t understand how they get it so wrong when Sunrise gets it so right. Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, even Gundam 0079 are so well done, it blows my mind.
