Batman special edition DVDs due in October

Don't remember the exact day, but Warner Brothers is supposed to release special edition DVDs of the 1989-1997 Batman films with audio commentaries by directors Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher, cast interviews and a whole mess of behind the scenes stuff for all four films.

Certainly has taken them long enough... the only special features on the current Batman DVD's are production notes and an alternate French language track. How cheap is THAT?
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

If you check out greencapt's Batman and Robim De-Assified thread there's a whole list of all the extras etc on this new set. I would post a link but my work computer won't let me do anything, so I can't, but I can tell you it's in the preservation and fan edits section.

I'm not sure if I want the entire box set for $80 or just get some of the movies for $25 each.

if you buy 3 of movies you might as well get the box set as its the same price (dvd answers says $27 per disc). plus im sure online retailers will have the individual movies and the set cheaper than $27 and $80. cause no way im paying $80 for 4 movies.

about a month ago i bought "The Batman Legacy"box set from walmart for only $25.00 it has all 4 movies,here are some of the specs on all movies,Soundtrack remastered in Dolby Digital 5.1,interactive menus,scene access,and each disc has fullscreen on 1 side Widescreen on the other,damn i am glad i got this.

well if your getting two and dont want the other two its not worth the set, but to me 'some' implies 2 or 3, and also on the dvdanswers site the comments seemed like some people there are thinking about all but batman and robin, in which case at MSRP its cheaper to get the box set.

plus if your a completest like me (its a weakness sometimes) you like the whole saga in a nice box (even if you maybe didnt like one of the movies) (somewhat off topic, it would be nice if the studio made the boxes available through a mail in offer for those that bought it seperatly, make use of the multiple copies of proofs of purchase they have on each disc)

but either way, their expensive dvds. $27 a disc is pretty steep. I mean I've taken advantage of deals where ive gotten 5 dvds for 50 (actually 45 cause i got %10 off in addition) and another where i got 6 for $40, granted this deal didnt have the largest selection to choose from, but enough that i could find dvds to get, plus a few that I had wanted for a while. Ill probably get the box but ill wait for it to drop in price some.

Really? I purposly waited on that set untill all three were out cause i knew there was gonna be a box set.

I hate it when movies come out, I like it, buy the disc and then like 3 years later they make a sequal. Blade comes to mind. at least with LOTR i knew there were 3 movies and could hold off buying them for the box set.
