So, what's next, will the future director of Garfield 2 blame Bill Murray because movie stunk?
Hollywood should take a step back and ask themselves if there is REALLY a market for the movies they want to make, rather than just follow other people's successes.
Why make Garfield in the first place? How about the success of the first Scooby-Doo movie, which also led to the subpar Scooby-Doo 2.
Why make Elektra?? Because the character's appearance in Daredevil was a "selling point".
Why remake Superman? Because people seem to like the comic book movies (X-Men, X-Men 2, Spiderman, Spiderman 2, Fantastic Four, etc.) right now.
The comic book trend doesn't end any time soon...we've got Silver Surfer, Thor, The Flash, X-Men 3, Sub-Mariner, ?Aquaman? and others all coming down the pipe.
